Touring dimmers often have a rough life, riding around in trucks, being operated in all types of temperatures and conditions and encountering a mixture of loads from ordinary PAR Cans through to fluorescent lamps. The last thing any operator wants to discover is that their touring dimmer has failed because it has got too hot or that it is not capable of controlling the types of loads that it is required to.
The ePRO has been designed to ensure that none of these problems will occur. All ePRO dimmers offer 100% duty cycle operation with intelligent fan cooling. This means that you can run the dimmer with all channels at full power at an ambient temperature of 35oC and it won't miss a beat.
Likewise to deal with difficult loads, the ePRO uses LSC's PTFD technology which means that you can connect almost any type of load to the dimmer and the ePRO will control it. This includes Fluorescent, Neon, pin spots, motors etc. You can read more about LSC's PTFD technology here.
ePRO also provides operator selection of any one of six fade curves for any or all channels. This includes a Non-Dim fade curve useful for remote switching non-dimming loads and discharge light sources.
Available in 6 or 12 channel models with a wide choice of output connector configurations and channel output current capacity, the ePRO is the ideal choice to ensure your show goes to plan.
ePRO Features
A number of key criteria make the ePRO stand out from the crowd.
- 6 and 12-channel versions.
- 13 Amp and 25 Amp output capacity per channel.
- 3RU high - designed for easy 19" rack installation.
- A unique extruded aluminium heatsink is used as a base to mount all the heat generating components which is then fan cooled, allowing for very efficient operation at high load conditions. The fan is temperature controlled so it is only on when it is required.
- The use of high quality inductors and filtering circuits, minimising the possible interference to other electronic equipment by reducing the harmonic waves produced by phase angled control of the power mains.
- Clever use of pushbuttons and displays to set the DMX512 address, to drive individual channels at varying levels, to create a 12 channel scene that can be stored in non volatile memory and to set a choice of fade curves for each dimmer channel.
- The electronics will remember any stored scene or dimmer curve set up that will be reactivated once power has been restored.
- Multiple output connector types, including 3-pin Australian, 19-pin Socapex, 16-pole Harting, 10-pole Harting, Schuko 16 Amp and its variants.
- Ability to set individual dimmer curve settings for each channel.
Six curves are available:
- S Law, Square Law, Cube Law, Quad Law - choose the curve that you like the best for your lights;
- 120 Volt - run a single 120V PAR Can;
- Non-Dim curve. Useful as a remote (DMX controlled) switch for any powered device.
- Power input cable supplied - 5 conductor 6mm2, black rubber insulated.
Note: Australian customers supplied with 5-pin Power connector fitted to the tail.
- Future software improvements can be loaded into the dimmers by the codeLINK option;
a Windows based program that allows the uploading of Software upgrades from a PC style computer. Downloads can be obtained from e-mail or LSC’s Website, and then transferred into the ePAK or ePRO via a cable link to the DMX512 input connector on the dimmer.
