LSC Lighting Systems has just completed PLASA 2008 in London UK.

The new e24v3 stole the show with a constant stream of people from rental and production houses from around the world checking out its facilities resulting in orders for over 25 pieces at the show.

The revised colour, layout and road case drew the crowd and the addition of a 5 way fully isolated DMX512 splitter and optional wireless DMX sparked the interest but the demonstration of using one channel of the e24 to dim an 8W fluorescent lamp without a dummy load and another channel to switch a Martin Strobe on and off, left some customers with their mouths open.

Building on the v2 model and the "Hot Power" option introduced at last year's PLASA, the e24v3 has become the ultimate touring dimmer/distro unit.

Whether the requirement is for Hot Power for moving lights or LEDs, dimming for generic lights or auxiliary power for other items or a mixture of all of these, the new e24v3 satisfies the requirements in one compact package.

Its brief specifications are:

  • 24 channels of dimming.
  • 24 channels of Hot Power.
  • 13 Amps per channel.
  • 3 x 13A of auxiliary power.
  • 48 ways of Hot Patching.
  • Socapex or Harting (Wieland) output connectors.
  • Variety of input power connector options including CEE 63A, CEE 125A and Powerlock.
  • 5-way fully isolated DMX512 splitter powered by all 3 power phases for redundancy.
  • Optional wireless DMX (W-DMX or City Theatrical) powered by all 3 power phases for redundancy.

The e24v3 is due for release in November.
