Australian lighting control systems manufacturer LSC Lighting Systems has taken possession of its new purpose built headquarters, located in the southern suburbs of Melbourne, Australia.

The impressively fitted-out building, boasts increased capacity for all sectors of its business units, with the factory and warehouse now two and a half times larger; dedicated Product Research & Development room with enough scope to double capacity; sales room for Australian and International support staff; well equipped Training Room and adjoining Museum to showcase a selection of products manufactured over the past 26 years.
A key element of the design brief was for the lighting, power, air-conditioning and heating all to be controlled via localised push button panels and LSC’s EKO dimming system. Houston, LSC’s Remote Monitoring Software, will then report the status of any “zone” or preset state programmed in the EKO dimmers.

The building has been designed and positioned to maximise the morning and afternoon sun, glazing selected for the best UV protection and motion detectors shut down rooms when they are not in use. A water catchment has been installed to water the extensive gardens and landscaping. Extra insulation measures have also been taken in the ceiling spaces and wall cavities to increase the efficiency of the overall building.

Of utmost importance was giving the LSC team the opportunity to comment on every aspect of the design, right down to colours, after all they are the ones working in the building. We have invested substantially in our new home and it will serve as our flagship as we embark on our continual expansion”.
