Bug Fixes

  • Some consoles failed to save their show on power cycles due to changing components over the years. MP size consoles appear to be more susceptible to this problem.
  • Pressing the [edit] button may stop the PaTPad responding to taps (but mousing still works).
  • Trackball ignores the ALL button on Pad.
  • Fixtures using the new virtual dimmer showed garbage in the Video1 window.
  • When channel patch is removed, the existing level is not cleared from the DMX data.
  • Video display was incorrect if faders are up during power up.
  • The function button did not flash in global speed control mode.
  • Chase EDIT stops chases from running.
  • Fixture window does not allow for 3-digit fixture numbers.
  • Adding a step to the end of a chase reports memory full.
  • Split HTP/LTP parameters don’t behave like pure HTP parameters on playbacks.
  • A Displayer controlling 2 parameters does not update display when wheel-stopped between parameters.
  • Patching a Proportional level to a Red Fader locks up the f/a buttons.
  • Patching a dimmer does not automatically increment the DMX address.
  • HTP patch level of a fixture on the Red Bank cannot be changed.
  • Default fade time for Colours is now set to be 2.0 seconds (as per Pan/Tilt).
  • F/A buttons stopped flashing in Record Chase mode when overwriting existing memories.
  • F/A buttons stopped flashing in Record Stack mode when overwriting existing memories.
  • Switch / LED test does not work on the Grab master in diagnostics on the MP.
  • Adding a channel to a stack could cause System reset.
  • Loading a big template could cause a System Reset.
  • In the effects engine, pushing one of the unused PM buttons reset the effects selection.
  • Pushing a flash button could cause other nearby buttons to briefly flash as well.

New or Revised Features

  • The USB type B connector on the maXim now talks via the CITP protocol directly to Capture software to allow visualisation on a Windows PC running Capture software (v2.1.3 or greater). A demo version of Capture can be downloaded from the LSC website.
  • The Capture dongle and interface within the unit now operates with Capture Polar LSC edition version 2.1.3. Note that you have to buy or have bought the LSC Capture dongle (and have it fitted internally to the maXim) for “Save”, “Save As” and “Print” functionality to operate in Capture.
  • When selecting filters, the Filter Memory video window obscured the Video 4 Pad View screen making operation difficult.
Press [filter]. The Filter Memory window pops up and the [PM] buttons can now be used to select (or de-select) filters (toggle action).
As soon as any [PM] is pressed, the Filter Memory window automatically closes. This allows you to see the filters that you are setting on the V4 Pad View screen.
